Os indicados ao The Game Awards 2023 foram anunciados.

Baldur’s Gate 3 e Alan Wake 2 concorrem a oito prêmios, à frente de Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, que concorre a sete prêmios. Todos os três títulos concorrem ao prêmio de Jogo do Ano junto com Resident Evil 4, Super Mario Bros. Wonder e The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Há 31 prêmios em disputa no total (veja a lista completa de indicados abaixo), com os vencedores definidos por uma votação mista entre o júri votante (90%) e votação pública dos fãs (10%). ).

O Game Awards será transmitido ao vivo no Peacock Theatre em Los Angeles na quinta-feira, 7 de dezembro. A nona edição do evento anual do ano passado foi uma grande produção com apresentações musicais de uma orquestra no palco e de Hozier, celebridades convidadas, um show de premiação, revelações de novos jogos e muito mais. Os principais anúncios incluíram as tão esperadas revelações de Death Stranding 2, de Hideo Kojima, e do novo jogo Judas, do criador do BioShock, Ken Levine.

Final Fantasy 16, Diablo 4, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor e Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League receberam datas de lançamento, enquanto Elden Ring e God of War Ragnarök foram os maiores vencedores na premiação.
